Eden’s Baby
Swaddlebees Capri Cover and Insert Review

While on my trip to San Antonio, I visited a cloth diaper store Eden’s Baby. I was beyond excited to go to my first cloth diaper store. The owner behind Eden’s Baby Brooke was super awesome, we scheduled an appointment before hand since her store is based out of her home. We visited her store, I was in awe so much fluff and real cute toys for kids, detergents, strollers anything a baby would need Eden’s Baby has you covered.

Brooke and I talked about Eden’s Baby and how it all started and it really started with her mom. Her mom suggested they start a cloth diaper store and so they did, their store started off at a actual store front but then life got in way and so Brooke’s home became her store. It’s cute and intimate I love it and really didn’t want to leave so much fluff and toys and her company were great.

Brooke was kind enough to have me review the Swaddlebees Capri Cover and Inserts. I had not tried them so figured it would be great. So lets talk Capri Cover and Inserts.

Capri Cover :

Simple, reusable and waterproof with inner leg gussets and adjustable snaps. Comes with your choice of snap closures or hook and loop closures. I like both but really just a personal preference. The Capri offers a feature of the “stay-put” flaps that insure your insert stays in place. Comes in different solid colors and prints.

Capri Inserts:

Is a multi-layered insert made from 100% birdseye cotton fabric. It has a half layer of microfleece to give you the option of choosing whether you want a stay-dry fabric against your baby’s skin, or all natural cotton. These inserts are ultra-absorbent and ultra-flexible. The extra long, foldable design makes these inserts quick to dry and easy to layer the absorbency where your baby needs it most.

My Experience

There is so many things I love about the Swaddlebees Cover & Inserts

  • The “stay put” flap is awesome, I love that our inserts don’t shift so much due to this flap.
  • The inner gussets are a big thing for me I love that messes stays inside. I love covers that have inner gusset feature.
  • The PUL is thick yet soft on babies skin, making it feel sturdy compared to other covers I own.
  • The Capri comes in 2 sizes making it a great choice to choose for babies that are smaller and bigger.
  • Comes in 8 different prints and 7 solid colors. The print I have is Swirls.
  • Swaddlebees are made in the US they are a very natural company.
  • I love that their inserts are all natural with a layer of microfleece, since I like the stay dry effect on my son.
  • Also the fact that is a long inserts makes washing and drying a lot more easy and cut backs on drying time.

Overall we love our Capri cover and inserts it makes a perfect diaper cover that can used more then one time, since all I have to do is change out the inserts unless pooped in. This cover is one of our favorite covers a little on the pricier side but well worth the price in my opinion. The fit is nice around lil bam bam’s legs there is never any red marks, I believe Swaddlebee’s brand is overall great in so many ways definitely one of our favorite brands.

First baby is coming in just two weeks, and while I’m excited about and committed to cloth diapering, I’m a little overwhelmed by all the options! I got plenty of the Flip system because they were so highly recommended and I didn’t think people would actually buy them off my registry. Then I found out that you should try multiple systems to see hat works best for your baby… and now I learning about double gussets, and using prefolds as inserts… ahhhhh!!!!!

  37. I’ve been wanting to try this exact cover for a while now. On another note I think I’d get into trouble with all that fluff in my house.
