Tropical Tradition Coconut Oil Review & Giveaway

Sewfatty: Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil / www.sewfatty.com I first learned about Coconut Oil in the cloth diapering world. Many mom’s raved about coconut oil and the many benefits. I was totally intrigued. I asked these mom’s “What do you use coconut oil for “? Here were a few of their response.

“Everything”

” I think the better question is what DON’T you use it for? The list would be shorter, lol. We use it for everything, but mostly diaper rash, moisturizer, hair mask, and cooking.””Diaper rash cream since its cloth diaper friendly, great on my baby’s dry skin patches, cooking, baking, great for chapped lips, wonderful for hair, makes a great polish too!”

“bar soap, liquid soap, sugar scrubs, toothpaste, baking, all kinds of things!”

“Face, Hands, bottoms, body, cast iron Pans, lip balm, in dog Food, hair, wooden spoons And Bowls, i put It On My Bamboo Knitting Needles, cooking, baking, cleaning anything Sticky, clean our Ears, personal lubricant…….. On And On And On”

Which brings to talk about Tropical Traditions which is a company that makes and sells virgin coconut oil.

They sent me a sample of their 32 oz. virgin coconut oil very well packaged. As soon as I opened it, I smelledSewfatty: Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil / www.sewfatty.com the sweet tropical coconut scent. It is a soft solid though it does solidifies at 76 degrees fahrenheit. Before using it to cook, I scooped some out and put it on a small container to use on my son’s bum. Mothers are using it on their own kids, and as moisturizer I figured it’s worth a try applying it on my son’s bum to see if these frequent rash would go away.

Happy to say that my son has now been 3-4 weeks “rash free” all because of the coconut oil. I have tried tons of diaper rash creams, ointments, fungus creams, even prescribed creams. Nothing has worked so well on his bum like this coconut oil. Not only is it good organically, but also great for his rash. This is something we now use on every diaper change. You can use this on cloth diapers and even disposable diapers.

I also have been using it to cook, I’ve been using coconut oil to cook almost everything. It has a great taste to it, with some foods you can taste and smell the coconut best and some veggies you don’t taste it as much. Which is totally fine with me. I made my son some potato fries and though I could taste the coconut oil, it was still very delicious and sweet at the same time.

Overall I love tropical traditions virgin coconut oil, compared to another brand I have recently used I would say I love Tropical Traditions best for the fact that it has the coconut scent, I love the taste of coconut on my food, and the quality of it speaks for itself. I would totally recommend this brand to friends and family. Speaking of which my mom can’t wait to try it. She will be visiting me very soon.

  32. Hi:
I’m not a new mono–but a pretty old one–my kids are grown and gone. But I was a natural mom way back when most weren’t. cloth diapers, natural products, etc. I hve recently “found” tropical traditions coconut oil, and just started a jar of the extra virgin gold. Far superior to the rest of their products, and they were great! Use it for all kinds of cooking, baking. Hven’t tried a lot else yet. EXCEPT an ointment called ORMUS! Have used this product for about a year and a half. Home made using coconut oil and REAL SALT. Great for pain relief for damaged nerves. I also add Solomon’s Seal and it helps with bone damage. After decades of pain and no relief from anything that the Drs have to offer this stuff made with Virgin Coconut oil is the best. So if you are interested, I’ll send the recipe and you can try it for yourself. God bless you and keep up what you are doing. This is a great blog!
