I Love Cloth Diapers

Why do I Love Cloth Diapers???

Money Saver: My family and I save a lot of money while cloth diapering, in the beginning it might sound like a lot of money but in the long run it actually becomes a “great investment” especially if you reuse them for more then one baby.

Better for Babies: Cloth Diapers on your babies bum is 10 times better, then all the chemicals that are in disposable diapers. My son has very sensitive skin so cloth for him has been the best thing.

Cutest Bums: I mean have you seen these cute prints and colors you can always coordinate to every holiday or event. I love cloth diapers that have awesome prints. Our little ones look adorable. This is totally just a bonus.

Eco-Friendly: You will not be throwing these cloth diapers away after every use. Did you know that  Disposable diapers generate sixty times more solid waste, they consume 2.3 times more water, and require 20 times more raw material such as crude oil and wood pulp than cloth diapers. To use disposable diapers on a single baby for a year, it takes over 300 pounds of wood, 50 pounds of petroleum feedstocks and 20 pounds of chlorine. <— Um thats crazy so cloth diapers definitely outweigh that by far.

I asked this same question on my SewFatty Facebook Page and here were a few responses.

” It saves me money and they are so cute! And I love knowing that my daughters delicate skin is safe from chemicals.” -Laura

” The cutesy prints! And never having to worry about running to the store to buy diapers. Everything I need is right in my home.” – Amanda

“I love that I am not only saving money now with cloth diapering, but also down the road for future children to come.” – Bryanne

My Cloth Diaper Wish List

My husband drools over motorcycles and currently has one on his wish list. What do I have on my wish list ?? CLOTH DIAPERS !!! I have an addiction I have to admit. If money was not an option here are a few I would purchase.

Lucky Little C’s – are made by an awesome WAHM Amanda she specializes in making “hybrid fitteds”. Why do I drool over these babies?? Let’s see she has super cute prints, she is on top of “new release fabrics” she uses “windpro” material as a hidden layer on all her diapers making the hybrid fitted almost waterproof. The fabric material she uses on her diapers are amazing. Her customers have nothing but the best things to say. Above is a picture of two of her diapers that stocked last week and sold out in seconds. These would be perfect for my lil bam bam and mini bam bam in my tummy. I mean don’t you think so?? I’m going to tell my husband this is what I want for Valentines Day 🙂 Amanda will be stocking Feb. 28th @ 6pm PST on HynaCart be sure to check her out..

Fabric used for these gorgeous Lucky Little C’s hybrid were hand dyed by Deema a WAHM that uses all natural fibers, that are CPSIA certified. Each batch of dye is hand mixed in small quantity to ensure the correct hue. Her beautiful creations make gorgeous cloth diapers, blankets, beanie’s and so much more!! Be sure to check out her Facebook.

Chelory –  made by Rachel and her team of three ladies Rachel’s mom cuts and snaps, Jane and Ronda sew AIO Inners, and Rachel does all the “finishing” work….assemble, topstitch, elastic, closures, wash/dry, QC, package and ship! YUP!! They do it all by hand is that amazing or what?? Chelory is my new found love I already own a Love Child AIO but would love to add more to my stash is why its part of my wishlist she has loads of prints and solid colors to choose from even “scrappy diapers” like the one above which you can choose you very own 3 colors. Be sure to check out Chelory, great customer service, fast shipping, great product what more can you ask for?

binky dcola

Binky D Diapers – are made by a WAHM Ashley. I just came across these diapers not too long ago and totally loved the style of these diapers. Since finding out I was pregnant I now look for the same prints in newborn size and regular size. I think it would be cute to have both boys in the same print diaper. These diapers look adorable I have friend that owns some Binky D Diapers and is super happy with them which makes me want some. I love the lime and blue combo with the guitars on these.

Doll Baby Couture – is an etsy shop and her diapers just look so fluffy they are adorable as well. I love the bright colors and prints she has to offer both for older babies and mini lil newborns.

The diapers I have been drooling over are all WAHM, I give these mamas so much credit they really do sew these amazing diapers out of love for our babies bum. Just remember when buying from a WAHM your helping her stay home with her little ones and or just helping them provide for their family!

So what cloth diaper brands or WAHM cloth diapers do you drool over??

My Favorite Cloth Diaper(s)

So what are my favorite cloth diapers for my little bam bam ??

My First Cloth Diaper Love would have to Bum Genius 4.0 Pocket Diapers these where Ashton’s First diapers and I have totally fallen in love with them because they have never failed us. We use them during the day and at night time with extra boosters for extra absorbency. These diapers are the easiest diapers for new cloth diapering parents the fact that they are a One Size diaper makes them even more economical because you will only have to buy once and even re-use for a second baby like myself, not to mention the price is amazing and they are always having amazing sales.

* Bum Genius 4.0 Won The Cloth Diaper of the 2012 Year Award !! Whoot Whoot!!!

My Second New Love is Ragababe though they are more on the pricier side they are totally worth it. What makes them A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ? Let’s see everything 🙂 They have a thick elastic in the back to where poop is not able to escape, the elastic around the legs is gentle yet strong enough to let anything seap through. Ragababe uses a ultra-absorbent light weight bamboo rayon for their AIO on their 2- steps which are in other words AI2 they use inserts that are made with 2 layers of organic cotton sherpa(super soft) and the interior of the insert has 2 layers of bamboo rayon making the combination just awesome. Ragababe offers super cute prints and cool colors. Not to mention the amazing Star in the middle.. my son is my ROCK STAR 🙂 Once you try your first Ragababe you will want a whole stash of them not kidding.

What are your Favorite Diapers??
