Happy Cinco de Mayo. PBS New Series – Oh Noah!

OH Noah! New PBS Series.

I grew up watching Sesame Street, MR. Rogers, Curious George, Thomas & Friends. They were the cartoons we used to watch all the time we learned from them they were something we looked forward when coming home from school. Technology has improved tremendously since then of course, that we now have some super cute amazing learning cartoons.

One of the latest cartoons, is Oh Noah! it’s a cartoon that is expanding with new bilingual content from ages 4-7 however my daughter whom is 8 and my littlest son whom is 2 totally loved it. It features the comic misadventures of Noah, a young boy staying with his grandmother in a community where almost no one else speaks English. As he tries to learn Spanish and makes new friends, misunderstandings land him in wacky predicaments, but he always manages to rebound and cheerfully learn from his mistakes. New animated videos and games are now online for you’re little ones to play with. Click here

We watched “Making a Splash” episode and it was such a great learning experience for my little ones. We are a bilingual family. I speak to my kids in what I call “spanglish” 🙂 so having them learn proper spanish terms and words is such a great thing for them. Knowing more then one languages is something so good for them. I sat through the whole cartoon, and thought it was great. I totally recommend checking out this new PBS digital series. Check your local listings. Oh Noal! will also be mobile-friendly and accessible through smartphones and tablets making it easy for kids to take this new series with them on-the-go.

Parenthood & Tommee Tippee oh my.

Have you all watched the episode of Parenthood where Crosby has tried just about every bottle there was at the stores hoping Aida would take the bottle (with moms breast milk) , to allow Jasmine to get some rest? This episode reminded me of exactly that same scenario we had to go through. My husband felt powerless when I would breastfeed and he couldn’t help. We also tried many bottles and none were anything like a mothers breast. Until we found Tommee Tippee these bottles were a life saver. They are small, non bulky. Baby can grip them well. We still use a bottle at night or nap times for my little Edward. That was the only bottle he took. We have not tried the transitioning sippy however, I feel like its going to work amazing.  I can’t wait to come back and tell you peeps how he likes it.

Tomme Tippee Transitioning Bottle and Cup

Some facts on the amazing Tommee Tippee bottle and cup.

  • Specially designed for baby’s firsts sips providing a smooth transition from breast or bottle to cup drinking
  • For use with babies over 3 months, the bottle to cup set contains 2 x 9oz feeding bottles and 1 x first sips transitioning cup
  • Feeding bottle has a natural feel, medium flow nipple for “just like Mom” feedings
  • Removable, one piece non-spill cup valve keeps first sip mess to a minimum
  • Super soft spout is gentle on your baby’s gums and removable, easy-grip handles are perfectly designed for tiny hands
  • Always BPA and phthalate free for ultimate reassurance

Overall these bottles and sippy’s are the best in the market. I have experienced it first hand. I bought every brand out there, my babies would not take any until we found Tommee Tippee. All babies are different, I understand but try these out first and I almost promise you, they will work amazing.

Have you watched that episode of Parenthood ?

#lunchtime with AppleGate Half Time

This post was created in partnership with Stonyfield. All opinions are my own.

In our home, we have a daily routine. Not, so much a schedule because we are pretty easy going and just go with the flow. However, the kids know the important daily stuff we do; like picking up sissy from school, and soon after that coming home and eating before getting ready for the gym and having the gym bag ready.

#lunchtime with AppleGate Half Time

Half Time Lunches fit right into our daily routines. What are Half Time Lunches ? they are made by AppleGate partnered with some of our favorite brands { Stonyfield and Annie’s}. They are similar to lunchables, except healthy and way better. They are made with the highest quality, natural ingredients and super delish.
