SewFatty: DIY Edible Finger Paint

I am always trying to find way’s to entertain my little bam bam and munchkin. We don’t really have a nice grassy area to play in, due to our grass having those little spiky poky things. Do you know what i’m talking about? They stick to your clothes, skin pretty much anything. Well our entire yard has those, so we try to keep activities indoor or sometimes spend time at the playground on base. While checking my instagram application I seen my friend @fenderkatie had just done a DIY canvas with finger painting, I thought wow what a great idea! So you know I totally had to do it.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • white canvas
  • small containers to put the colors in (I used gerber food jars since I already had them)
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2  or 1/4 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 Tb. of sugar
  • food coloring

Combine water, cornstarch and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and keep on stirring until mixture thickens. Pour into small containers and add your food coloring. Simple. (*let the paint cool off before giving it to your little one) Below you will see some pictures to give you an idea.DIYkidfun

The Masterpieces!!

Overall my little love’s had so much fun, little bam bam was just sticking his fingers in all the colors. Adryana mixed all the colors apparently and made herself she said. I totally love our new artwork. They are going up on the wall as soon as they dry. *Be sure you write on the back of the canvas with the date and age of your munchkins. Now go make some masterpieces with your little munchkins. It’s fun and also perfect for easter !!!

Do you know what else is perfect for easter? How about we play an Egg Hunt Game with Kelly’s Closet ?

The Best Cloth Diapers for
New Cloth Diapering Parents

While pregnant with my son I found myself researching  “The Best Cloth Diapers”. The first name brand that stood out to me was bum genius diapers. These were the features that caught my eyes.

  • One size diapers therefore will save me even more money since baby will grow with the diaper till potty training.
  • Many colors and prints to choose from.
  • They offer two closure types snaps and aplix.
  • Great Quality diapers for a great price.

I have been cloth diapering my son for now 8 months and I have to tell you that Bum Genius OS Pocket Diapers are easy, simple for those parents that are new to cloth diapering world. It’s bad enough “New Cloth Diapering Parents” like myself a few months ago didn’t really know what were doing!! The last thing I wanted to do was read a manuel on how to use these cloth diapers. I have tried many diaper brands and Bum Genius OS Diapers are always my #1 recommendation. Bum Genius diapers are what my stash consist of, you stuff the pocket with the inserts take inserts out and wash super simple. I have not had any problems with my diapers they hold up great, another thing I love about Bum Genius Pocket diapers is that you adjust the absorbency if you need more absorbency for night time all you have to do is add a doubler. Overall my Number #1 recommendation for the “The Best Cloth Diapers” for new parents are Bum Genius OS Pocket Diapers. There is also All In One Bum Genius diapers that are organic (natural fibers) and are called Bum Genius Elementals and there newest edition Bum Genius FreeTime.
