Loving my new home decor by Pen & Paint

As many of you may know, we recently moved from Texas to San Diego, CA. One thing, I was super excited about moving was re-decorating OUR NEW home. I’m still so far from being done, but we all start somewhere – right?

Pen+Paint Review and Giveaway

Lindsay over at Pen & Paint sent me this beautiful “Ohana means family. We are forever Family.” {In Hawaiian culture, ʻohana means family}. I love this print so much. It means so much to me, our current home ; is truly amazing. My husband and I have had a tough 3-5 years. So, to be able to stand here today and say this; is a total blessing. This print is everything, our home stands for. I am completely in love with it. I also added two other photos of our Hawaii trip together with my new Pen & Paint Print. Thinking of getting white frames, what do you think? mehhhh… yay or nay?

Where she updates on sales, news, and so much more, be sure to check her out. I will be posting a updated look at my home soon, one I get new frames and more added on to my walls. So, be sure to stick around for some more house fun.

Here are a few favorite prints, I plan to buy very soon for the house. They are bright and happy, exactly what I want to fill the house with. Are they not the cutest? Pen+Paint Review and Giveaway

DIY Edible Finger Painting & Children’s Artwork
(Kelly’s Closet Egg Hunt Giveaway)

SewFatty: DIY Edible Finger Paint www.sewfatty.com

I am always trying to find way’s to entertain my little bam bam and munchkin. We don’t really have a nice grassy area to play in, due to our grass having those little spiky poky things. Do you know what i’m talking about? They stick to your clothes, skin pretty much anything. Well our entire yard has those, so we try to keep activities indoor or sometimes spend time at the playground on base. While checking my instagram application I seen my friend @fenderkatie had just done a DIY canvas with finger painting, I thought wow what a great idea! So you know I totally had to do it.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • white canvas
  • small containers to put the colors in (I used gerber food jars since I already had them)
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2  or 1/4 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 Tb. of sugar
  • food coloring

Directions:

Combine water, cornstarch and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and keep on stirring until mixture thickens. Pour into small containers and add your food coloring. Simple. (*let the paint cool off before giving it to your little one) Below you will see some pictures to give you an idea.DIYkidfun

The Masterpieces!!

Overall my little love’s had so much fun, little bam bam was just sticking his fingers in all the colors. Adryana mixed all the colors apparently and made herself she said. I totally love our new artwork. They are going up on the wall as soon as they dry. *Be sure you write on the back of the canvas with the date and age of your munchkins. Now go make some masterpieces with your little munchkins. It’s fun and also perfect for easter !!!

Do you know what else is perfect for easter? How about we play an Egg Hunt Game with Kelly’s Closet ?
