Stonyfield Greek Yogurt – Whole Milk & Grass Fed

Our family is a huge fan of yogurt, but not just any yogurt. We love Stonyfield !! My kids love to eat it alone, I like to make treats with it, smoothies, I even substitute it for sour cream. Since I’ve changed my diet. We recently tried the Organic Greek Yogurt for the first time and WOW!!! We are all hooked! It has this rich, thick and smooth texture the flavors are amazing. Stonyfield is such overall amazing. They always seek for perfection and this yogurt shows it.

What I love about this yogurt is the fact that the flavor is kept on the side, it’s not mixed it. Giving you the option of adding a lot of flavor or just a bit. Also, you can always add on ingredients. I added some granola the other day, I needed a little crunch after my post workout. This satisfies my cravings and it’s such a great post workout snack. My kids are seriously hooked, they love the fact that, they can do it themselves. They think its something super fun, to open and mix.  

If you haven’t tried the Greek Yogurt yet, go grab yourself some.  I promise you will never go back to regular!

Post- Workout Yogurt with Stonyfield & Barlean’s

I love me a good post-workout snack before I eat my last meal of the day. I mix it up and sometimes have a protein shake, or bar, or sometimes I prefer a yogurt. I was recently introduced to Barlean’s brand. I have fallen in love with it. I love to combine this stuff in almost everything I eat. 

I’ve been sprinkling some Flax · Chia · Coconut Organic Blend onto on of my favorite Stonyfield yogurts !! Can you guess which is my fav ??

Yes!! Organic Greek Whole Milk – Strawberry. It’s my absolute favorite. Then, you add this omega-3 … & boom.. just blows it out the water. It’s a very refreshing snack with some power boost and super filling. This is my go-to snack for any time, including my post-workout

Why do I love Barlean’s ?

They are organic supplements that actually taste good and that I can add them to my food without, cringing. The Omega Swirl’s are amazing to just take your daily shot’s of them in the am, which is normally when I take them. I’ve also used them on morning shakes. So there is more than just one way to drink them.  The seeds, I like to sprinkle them on whatever i’m eating. Whether it’s chicken, sweet potatoes, green beans… really anything. They add such a great boost and I know they are great for me and my health. 

Overall, I love Barlean’s. I like their mission statement and their products speak for itself. We need to care for our health, if we don’t. Then who will ? My family from both sides of my parents, suffer from diabetes. That is something I never want to have. Here is to more Barlean’s in my cupboards 🙂

Pollyanna get’s FIT.

Life in California has been so amazing ( besides of course deployments – those are NO fun). We are able to do so much more compared to our life in Texas. It’s just such a good change, for the best. The weather is amazing, not to mention the beach and we can actually go to the gym now, my hubby bought us gym memberships to LA Fitness. Which has been such an amazing, new outlook on life for me.

After getting my gallbladder removed, I wanted a new start for myself. Not only for myself, but for my family. There is nothing more, that I want in life then to see my kids grow up and be there every step of the way. I want to enjoy life with them and not have my ‘health’ be an issue. I want and need,  to be at my very best for my hubby and kids.  About a month ago I started to keep track of my ‘MACROS’ and working out on a daily basis. Since doing so, I’ve dropped a few lbs and slowly but surely gaining muscle – that I never knew i had 🙂 I feel amazing as far as health goes, not to mention, fitting into some jeans that I wasn’t able to before, is also pretty darn good. 

Pollyanna Gets Fit !

I was a bit scared to actually post this, just because of my insecurities. I figured if my pictures can motivate some my readers, then it makes it worth it. These photos are two week difference. I’m SO PROUD of myself, I still have a long way to go but these before and after photos just give me more motivation to keep on going! My hubby and munchkins need me to be  healthy and lastly I want to feel good about my self. I’m excited of what’s to come in the future. 

There are no special pills I’m taking or crazy diets, i’m just following a IIFYM ( if it fits your macros) and working out 5-6  days a week. Working out with weights ( to build muscle) and cardio (to get my body fat down). I have learned a lot from my husband, since he knows a lot about working out and eating right. I too, have been on YOUTUBE a lot, watching workout videos. Some of my favorite body builders – Kai Greene, Dana Linn Bailey, Victor Martinez.
