When I met you in the summer #stonyfield

How is your summer going so far ?? Are you ready for kids to go back to school ?? As for us, we are not ready for summer to be over. I love having my munchkin home with us. This summer has been a bit sad, just because we don’t have daddy home with us. Soon he will come home and stay with us for a few months, if all goes well. 2014 summer has been filled with GYM, picnics, trips and of course missing daddy and tons of cooking. 

Thing is, i’m not a fan of cooking, hubby normally is the chef around here. This summer has been filled with many “healthy treats and meals”. One of our favorite ‘breakfast/dinner’ meal has been PANCAKES. We love eating them at all times of the day. Not just your average pancakes though. I fill them up with goodness, like these featured below. 

Pancakes Yummy Facts : 

Pancake & Waffle Mix 6-Grain : Central Milling Company // Bananas // Walden Farms Pancake Syrup (Calorie FREE) // Stonyfield Greek Yogurt mixed with PB2 Chocolate. 

This is by far our favorite all day, any day, any time meal. It’s healthy in all aspects I love adding in our amazing Stonyfield yogurt, not to mention that greek yogurt is a fat burner – hey hey hey !!!!

Pollyanna get’s FIT.

Life in California has been so amazing ( besides of course deployments – those are NO fun). We are able to do so much more compared to our life in Texas. It’s just such a good change, for the best. The weather is amazing, not to mention the beach and we can actually go to the gym now, my hubby bought us gym memberships to LA Fitness. Which has been such an amazing, new outlook on life for me.

After getting my gallbladder removed, I wanted a new start for myself. Not only for myself, but for my family. There is nothing more, that I want in life then to see my kids grow up and be there every step of the way. I want to enjoy life with them and not have my ‘health’ be an issue. I want and need,  to be at my very best for my hubby and kids.  About a month ago I started to keep track of my ‘MACROS’ and working out on a daily basis. Since doing so, I’ve dropped a few lbs and slowly but surely gaining muscle – that I never knew i had 🙂 I feel amazing as far as health goes, not to mention, fitting into some jeans that I wasn’t able to before, is also pretty darn good. 

Pollyanna Gets Fit !

I was a bit scared to actually post this, just because of my insecurities. I figured if my pictures can motivate some my readers, then it makes it worth it. These photos are two week difference. I’m SO PROUD of myself, I still have a long way to go but these before and after photos just give me more motivation to keep on going! My hubby and munchkins need me to be  healthy and lastly I want to feel good about my self. I’m excited of what’s to come in the future. 

There are no special pills I’m taking or crazy diets, i’m just following a IIFYM ( if it fits your macros) and working out 5-6  days a week. Working out with weights ( to build muscle) and cardio (to get my body fat down). I have learned a lot from my husband, since he knows a lot about working out and eating right. I too, have been on YOUTUBE a lot, watching workout videos. Some of my favorite body builders – Kai Greene, Dana Linn Bailey, Victor Martinez.
