Loving my new home decor by Pen & Paint

As many of you may know, we recently moved from Texas to San Diego, CA. One thing, I was super excited about moving was re-decorating OUR NEW home. I’m still so far from being done, but we all start somewhere – right?

Pen+Paint Review and Giveaway

Lindsay over at Pen & Paint sent me this beautiful “Ohana means family. We are forever Family.” {In Hawaiian culture, ʻohana means family}. I love this print so much. It means so much to me, our current home ; is truly amazing. My husband and I have had a tough 3-5 years. So, to be able to stand here today and say this; is a total blessing. This print is everything, our home stands for. I am completely in love with it. I also added two other photos of our Hawaii trip together with my new Pen & Paint Print. Thinking of getting white frames, what do you think? mehhhh… yay or nay?

Loving our Beautiful Melody Designs Shirts

Beautiful Melody Designs Toddler Shirts

I mean seriously? I can’t even handle my kid’s cuteness. They are sporting his new “Wake up and Live” shirt by Beautiful Melody Designs. I discovered this shop on Instagram. Here is a little more on the mama behind BMD’s

Hello. I’m Chantal, mother of two rambunctious littles, future wife and owner/operator of Beautiful Melody Designs where I block print awesome threads completely by hand. From drawing each design to carving/inking the stamp and printing each item the whole process is done using my mama hands in my tiny, in-home, Northern Idaho studio. I’ve got a 2.5 year old baby girl, Aria and a 10 month old boy Lyric who keep me on my toes all day long. As soon as nap time arrives each day, I hit the studio to work. I love creating these designs and the reward of seeing sweet babes everywhere rock my threads is greater than I ever could’ve imagined!

I’m seriously ‘IN LOVE’ with our new shirts they are stylish, comfy, affordable and handmade with love. Ashton is wearing is a v-neck shirt which makes him look like a mini-man. We paired our shirt with cargo pants and some Freshly Picked Moccs another favorite.

We got ton of  stares and compliments at the store and the park. The meaning behind “Wake up and Live” for me, is so much more then just words. My dad was recently in a huge truck accident. The accident hit me hard, it made me realize that everyday is a new day, everyday is a blessing, everyday is gift that we sometimes take for granted. So, wake up and live and be Happy. I want my kids to know that life is not always easy, but with GOD on our side nothing is impossible so wake up and live. For he has promised us joy in the morning. These shirt’s are exactly, how I’ve been feeling these days and I just want to thank you Chantal for bringing it to light with these beautiful creations handmade with love by you.

I love buying handmade, not only is the product done by someone’s hands and with love but done by someone that is trying to support their family. So please think about buying Handmade next time you want to buy you’re little ones some shirts {or anything else for that matter}. I highly recommend Beautiful Melody Designs. I plan on buying her “Three Little Birds” shirt in an Adult size coming soon.

Living life in San Diego

Our Home in Kingsville, Texas

Our Home in Kingsville, Texas

As many of you may know. We are now living in San Diego, CA. It has been such an amazing transition from Texas to California as far as the wheather goes and just being able to do more things. Kingsville, TX was a super small town that didn’t really have much to offer. However, the three years that we lived there my husband and I grew very close to each other making our marriage grow into what it is, today. Those 3 years were amazing, we were able to have him home with us every single day, we welcomed our two boys into this world. Kingsville was a great town for us to bond and work on US. Texas will always hold a special place in my heart for that.

Now, that we are in San Diego. Reality of military life has hit hard in our home.  Hubby has already gone on a 13 day underway and now is gone for a few months with a forecast of more months ahead. I know that it’s really hard for us right now because   for the last 3 years we had him home with us. Now the times have changed and sadness has hit me hard. I know, I will be fine and learn to coupe with it, but for now I do get depressed and it is hard. I know that GOD has big plans for us and our family and thats what keeps me going. I am keeping busy with our three munchkins. I am still not done unpacking, so that’s still in the works. As well as a DIY Outdoor Pallet Couch. In which I am super excited to share with you all. If you have an Instagram be sure to follow me at @sewfatty. I will be posting updates.
