PB&J Oatmeal bite size munchies. #backtoschool

School will be back in session next week. A part of me is not ready, for the start of a new school year. However, I know my munchkin is totally ready. That being said, it’s back to making quick, healthy snacks for on the go. I made these pb&j bites and gave them a test run during the week to see, if the kids would like them. They loved them and we packed a lunch for on the go runs during our back to school errands.

My munchkins love these snacks, they especially love Stonyfield squeeze pouches. They are perfect for on-the-go no spills just perfect for kids. I also, made these PB&J Oatmeal bize size munchies. Below you can enjoy the recipe.
 

PB&J Oatmeal bite size munchies
A healthy & delicious bite size snack throughout the day.

Ingredients
  1. 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  2. 1 cup of uncooked quick oats
  3. 2 tbsp PBpeanut butter
  4. sprinkle cinnamon
  5. 4 teaspoons of jelly (your favorite)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lay a sheet of parchment paper.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas and peanut butter in a medium bowl. Add oats & cinnamon and mix until it's all combined. Get your cookie scooper, and place oat balls on your sheet. Wet your thumb a little and make an imprint in the middle (making a small dent for the jam) Repeat until you fill up your sheet.
  3. You can add your jelly NOW or wait unit after they're baked. Totally up to you. You'll bake them for 10-13 minutes. Take them out and let them cool down. Enjoy!!!

When I met you in the summer #stonyfield

How is your summer going so far ?? Are you ready for kids to go back to school ?? As for us, we are not ready for summer to be over. I love having my munchkin home with us. This summer has been a bit sad, just because we don’t have daddy home with us. Soon he will come home and stay with us for a few months, if all goes well. 2014 summer has been filled with GYM, picnics, trips and of course missing daddy and tons of cooking. 

Thing is, i’m not a fan of cooking, hubby normally is the chef around here. This summer has been filled with many “healthy treats and meals”. One of our favorite ‘breakfast/dinner’ meal has been PANCAKES. We love eating them at all times of the day. Not just your average pancakes though. I fill them up with goodness, like these featured below. 

Pancakes Yummy Facts : 

Pancake & Waffle Mix 6-Grain : Central Milling Company // Bananas // Walden Farms Pancake Syrup (Calorie FREE) // Stonyfield Greek Yogurt mixed with PB2 Chocolate. 

This is by far our favorite all day, any day, any time meal. It’s healthy in all aspects I love adding in our amazing Stonyfield yogurt, not to mention that greek yogurt is a fat burner – hey hey hey !!!!

Protein Ball Recipe #cleancheats

Well these Protein Balls are just for you. They are healthy, tasty, full of awesomeness. Did I mention? There is NO BAKING involved. Seriously, they are addicting and you will not stop at just one. Take them On-The-Go with you.

Ingredients
  1. 1 Cup - Rolled Oats
  2. 1/2 Cup - Organic PB {or any on hand}
  3. 1/3 Cup - Raw Honey
  4. 1/4 Cup - dark chocolate chips
  5. 2 TBS- flax seeds (I used grounded flax seed )
  6. 1 TBS - Protein Powder
  7. ** you can also add coconut, chia seeds, hemp seeds.
Instructions
  1. 1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. 2. Cover with Saran Wrap and put in the fridge for 30 mins.
  3. 3. After it's been chilled, grab the mix and make little balls.
  4. 4. Put balls in a covered container and store in fridge until ready to eat!!
  5. 5. Enjoy!!
