PB&J Oatmeal bite size munchies. #backtoschool

School will be back in session next week. A part of me is not ready, for the start of a new school year. However, I know my munchkin is totally ready. That being said, it’s back to making quick, healthy snacks for on the go. I made these pb&j bites and gave them a test run during the week to see, if the kids would like them. They loved them and we packed a lunch for on the go runs during our back to school errands.

Ingredients
  1. 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  2. 1 cup of uncooked quick oats
  3. 2 tbsp PBpeanut butter
  4. sprinkle cinnamon
  5. 4 teaspoons of jelly (your favorite)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lay a sheet of parchment paper.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas and peanut butter in a medium bowl. Add oats & cinnamon and mix until it's all combined. Get your cookie scooper, and place oat balls on your sheet. Wet your thumb a little and make an imprint in the middle (making a small dent for the jam) Repeat until you fill up your sheet.
  3. You can add your jelly NOW or wait unit after they're baked. Totally up to you. You'll bake them for 10-13 minutes. Take them out and let them cool down. Enjoy!!!

Summa Time Dip

Summer Time is the best time.

San Diego, is the perfect place to be in the summer time. We are so fortunate to have the beach near by, we have many trips there. It’s so awesome to throw on some shorts, tank top and flip flops and have a good time. When I think of summer time, I think of delicious fresh meals, ceviche, aguas fresca, ice cream, fresh fruit. I made this super easy dip, over the 4th of July weekend. My hubby and kids loved it, they’ve been begging me to make it again. I love easy recipes, especially for all those busy parents that are always on the go. I hope you love it as much, as we do.

Disclosure: This post was created in partnership with Stonyfield. All opinions are my own.

As many of you may know, I love to workout. I’ve been out of the gym due to an injury. However, I am back at it again. It feels so good to be back in the gym. That being said, i’ve learned that in order to accomplish your fitness goals. It all comes down to what you consume and what you fuel your body with. It beaks down to 80% food (body’s fuel) and 20%  gym time. What you put into your body is the key to your fitness journey.

Stonyfield Organic Protein Shake

Stonyfield came out with these NEW amazing Organic Protein Smoothies. Each drink has 15 grams of protein they come in three different flavors, chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. They’re all delicious, my hubby took some to work as well. He had great things to say about them. “They’re pretty freaken good”, “don’t drink the last one” hehe.  Stonyfield Protein drinks are organic they are GMO free, pesticide free, hormone free, antibiotic free, and free of artificial sweetners. They’re made of all good stuff. You really can’t go wrong them. Normally, my hubby and I make our protein shakes, {powder+ water}.
